Michel A. Sucher, MD, FASAM, FACEP

Michel A. Sucher, MD FASAM FACEP, is the Medical Director at Community Bridges, Inc. He also serves as the Medical Director of the Monitored Aftercare Programs for the Arizona Medical Board, the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners, and the State Bar of Arizona.

Dr. Sucher is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) and is the Immediate Past President of the Arizona Chapter of ASAM. He is a highly sought after nationally known speaker on addiction medicine.

Dr. Chandiramani is a graduate of 2 prestigious academic institutions, Rutgers University and Bastyr University. Since 2004, his practice has been limited to the treatment of chemically dependent patients.
During his tenure with Journey Healing Centers, he has refined and integrated his protocols and guiding philosophy in pioneering a novel field of medicine, Integrative Addiction Medicine (I AM). “I AM” allows for the effective blending of conventional addiction medicine and evidence-based complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), including the nurturing and rebuilding modalities inherent to the practice of naturopathic medicine.

Mayday Levine-Mata, Psy.D.

Sierra Tucson extended a warm welcome to Dr. Mayday Levine-Mata as Program Director in November 2012. Dr. Levine-Mata holds a doctorate of Clinical Psychology from Antioch New England University in New Hampshire and a Certificate of Management and Organizations from the University of Arizona.

She has held several clinical management positions including, most recently, Director of Clinical Initiatives and Director of Training at La Frontera, in Tucson. In this role Dr. Levine-Mata developed strategies for training clinical staff, created and implemented program evaluations, and oversaw the adult programs.

She has presented at a number of local and national conferences. Among her clinical interests are client-directed, outcome-informed processes and adapting evidence-based practices for community treatment. Dr. Levine-Mata is a licensed clinical psychologist in the State of Arizona and is a member and former president of the Southern Arizona Psychology Association.

Douglas J. Edwards is Publisher of Addiction Professional, having formerly served as editor in chief of Behavioral Healthcare and Addiction Professional.  Edwards has been serving the addiction treatment community since 2000 in multiple editorial and marketing roles.  Edwards will serve as moderator of the discussion.
