There, David ran a psychiatric transition facility that worked to get patients out of long-term care. At the University of Florida, he counseled students at risk of leaving school due to financial, emotional or family issues, helping them navigate those roadblocks and achieve academic success. He also served as clinical director for one of Florida’s largest residential treatment programs, as well as one of the state’s smallest programs, before entering private practice in Gainesville.
