Multiple care providers are involved in people's recovery journey. Employee assistance professionals, private-practice therapists, residential centers, interventionists, outpatient community resources, and many others can have a profound impact on guiding people in their recovery journey. Coordinating care can be challenging, but the Recovery-Based System of Care model, when implemented effectively, can provide people in recovery with wraparound services to help them maintain their sobriety.
Join Addiction Professional Editor Gary Enos for lunch and a panel discussion with experts from across New England and around the country who will address how providers can better work together to build clients' recovery capital.
The panel of experts will discuss:
- The emergence of a Recovery-Based System of Care model that has shifted addiction treatment facilities from episodic care to ongoing recovery support
- How treatment centers and the recovery community have established meaningful recovery support services, including community-based recovery centers that are helping individuals gain important life skills and strengthen their long-term sobriety
- Practical strategies that assist treatment facilities and individual providers in partnering with recovery organizations to offer more extended support to patients
One hour of continuing education credit will be available.
*There is a $25 registration fee, but all attendees will receive a $25 American Express gift card at the conclusion of the event. Registration is required to attend; seating is limited.
