Houston — Located in Houston’s storied Montrose area under a canopy of stately oaks sits an enclave of 1930’s homes known as Right Step, Houston’s premier alcohol and drug treatment facility since 1993. Right Step’s “feel-at-home” facility has just completed interior, exterior and food service upgrades to better serve clients and enhance the recovery experience.

Mandola’s Catering, owned by Frankie B. Mandola, one of Houston’s most recognized restaurateurs, now serves three meals daily. Mandola’s kitchen is just steps away from Right Step’s 902 W. Alabama location—close enough to be convenient but “off campus” enough to provide clients with a refreshing change of scenery during their residential treatment for substance abuse.

Part of Right Step’s mission is to provide a calm, safe atmosphere for those recovering from drug and alcohol dependency. To further this goal, the treatment center updated and upgraded the residential houses, inside and out.

New paint, new furniture, a bounty of flowering landscaping, and hotel-quality linens are all testament to Right Step’s philosophy of care. “We are all about improving the treatment experience and outcomes.

Whether that means embracing new clinical modalities or improving the ambience, Right Step does whatever it can to help clients live life sober,” said George Joseph, CEO of TRS Behavioral, Inc., owner of Right Step and Spirit Lodge treatment centers.
