Phoenix — Remuda Ranch, an eating and anxiety disorders treatment center, has announced that the facility's chief medical officer Dr. Kevin Wandler, M.D., will be honored during Sierra Tucson's third annual "Gratitude for Giving" celebration on Dec. 10. Dr. Wandler will receive the Compassion Recognition award.
"I have been working in psychiatry for more than 26 years, with 15 of those years in the field of treating eating disorders," said Dr. Wandler. "I'm extremely honored to be receiving the compassion award at this time in my career."
The "Gratitude for Giving" celebration recognizes professionals in the Phoenix and surrounding areas for their years of giving to others. The Compassion Recognition award honors someone in the medical community for their contribution to the wellness of others.
Dr. Wandler travels across the country holding Remuda Ranch workshops and seminars for mental health professionals. His presentations offer cutting-edge information about the treatment of eating and anxiety disorders. His dedication lies beyond just treating with medication. His philosophy—and that of Remuda Ranch—looks at the whole person by offering a bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach to treatment.
"My goal is to help those suffering from the devastation of eating and anxiety disorders heal and lead the healthy, productive lives they were meant to have," adds Dr. Wandler.
