College Choice, an organization that ranks colleges and universities and also offers advice on applications and financial aid, has listed Washington University (St. Louis), the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA) and Columbia College as the top schools for an online bachelor's degree in psychology.

An additional 50 schools with online bachelor's programs were ranked in the organization's 2016 review. Schools were ranked on the basis of academic reputation, cost of tuition, and average first-year salary of graduates.

“Depending on the job, psychology students entering the workforce with an undergraduate degree can make up to $50,000 a year,” said Katie Amondson, associate editor of the ranking. “With an online degree, there is flexibility in how many classes you take at a time, so it is easily coupled with a current career or other obligations.”
