The Massachusetts Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors (MAADAC) presented its 2010 Robert Logue Award to AdCare community services representative Timothy W. Stanton, MS, LICSW, at the organization’s annual holiday breakfast on Dec. 3 in Westborough, Mass.
Upon accepting the award, which recognizes individuals for their dedication to helping people access alcohol and drug treatment, Stanton thanked AdCare Hospital for the opportunity to serve as a community services representative in Western Massachusetts, as well as MAADAC for the chance to be its legislative liaison in Washington, D.C. “Working alongside Maryanne Frangules, MOAR Executive Director, and connecting with legislators on key issues related to addiction and treatment has been a rewarding learning experience,” he said. Before joining AdCare Hospital’s Community Services team, Mr. Stanton played a key role in launching AdCare Outpatient Services – West Springfield, where he served as director from 2005 to 2007. He has also served as the Administrative Unit Director for Child and Family Services of Pioneer Valley in Springfield, Mass., and for 17 years as the administrative unit director at Monson Developmental Center in Palmer, Mass.

In 2010, AdCare celebrated 35 years as an addiction treatment provider. AdCare’s full continuum of care includes hospital-level of treatment in Worcester, Mass., and outpatient services throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island. AdCare Hospital also sponsors 1-800-ALCOHOL, the 24-hour Nationwide Information and Referral Line.
