Fred Muench, PhD, is the new president and CEO of the Partnership for Drug-Free Kids; he formerly served as the clinical lead on the Partnership's toll-free helpline. Muench replaces Marcia Lee Taylor, who will continue in the organization as chief policy officer.

Muench has been involved in several initiatives on the use of technology to address addiction, including founding one of the first behavioral health text messaging companies. He recently led Northwell Health's beta Digital Alcohol Reduction Coaching Platform.

Muench also has been principal investigator for several government- and private foundation-funded studies on the use of technology to combat addiction and impulsivity.
