You have to struggle to find any positive stories about the workforce these days, in just about any field. So it was worth a second look this week when the market research firm IBISWorld released its top 10 industries for 2009 in terms of anticipated revenue growth.
Coming in at number 9 in the analysis: family counseling, with an expected revenue growth of 6.1%. (It's noteworthy that only four industries are projected to see revenues increase by double-digit percentages this year.) IBISWorld projects the largest growth for voice over Internet protocol providers (20.1%).
Other growing fields of some interest to the human-services community include biotechnology and community housing, at third and seventh in the analysis, respectively.
