Juanita "Nita" C. Chester, RN
Director of Nursing
Cumberland Heights Foundation

As Director of Nursing at the Cumberland Heights Foundation, Juanita Chester is responsible for monitoring the physical and mental wellness of clients across all addiction treatment programs. 

Over the course of her career, Juanita has mainly focused on her passion, addiction treatment, boasting over 15 years of experience in the field.  However, she also has a range of experience and expertise including experience in Medical and Surgical Units, and five years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience. 

Juanita obtained her Nursing license in 1991 and is a member of the International Nurses Society on Addictions. 


Lee McCormick
Founder
Integrative Life Center, The Ranch Recovery Center, Canyon Treatment Center

Lee McCormick is the co-founder of Integrative Life Center in Nashville and founder of The Ranch Recovery Center in Nunnelly, Tennessee. Lee also founded Spirit Recovery, Inc., which produces Recovery Conferences, Sacred Journeys, workshops and other recovery and personal growth experiences. He is the author of Spirit Recovery Meditation Journal and was a contributor to Chicken Soup for the Recovering Soul.

As executive producer of Dreaming Heaven, a documentary on spiritual awakening and experience, Lee became a partner in Enlightened Innertainment Production Company, a film and music creative endeavor. He is a partner and co-creator of the Dreaming House in Teotihuacán, Mexico, a group retreat center at the foot of the pyramids.

A talented songwriter and singer, Lee has owned and operated the Piney River Cattle Company for the past 20 years. His pursuits also include being a certified chemical dependency counselor, spiritual teacher, and Toltec Guide trained in the tradition of the Eagle Knight lineage of don Miguel Ruiz. Lee resides between his ranches in Tennessee and Malibu, California as well as the Dreaming House in Teotihuacán, Mexico


Margaret Nagib, PsyD
Faculty Member
Timberline Knolls Clinical Development Institute

Dr. Nagib is a clinical psychologist specializing in inner healing and treating addiction, eating disorders, trauma, self-injury and mood disorders. For 15 years, she has provided individual, family and group therapy.

Today, as a key faculty member of Timberline Knolls’ Clinical Development Institute, she travels throughout the country providing clinical training and presentations to professionals. Every year, the CDI team offers more than 50 presentations at national and regional meetings, and contributes to awareness and early intervention through media interviews and blog contributions. Formerly, Dr. Nagib worked as a counselor with The Meier Clinics, the Northern Illinois University Counseling Center, the Glen Oaks Adolescent Therapeutic School and Oak Forest Psychological Services.  She has been featured in Relevant magazine; the Wall Street Journal; Today’s Christian Woman magazine; FOX News, and more. 

Dr. Nagib earned her undergraduate degree from Pace University in New York and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College in Illinois, where she also served as an adjunct graduate psychology professor. She held a similar role at Simpson University in California.


Dawn-Elise Snipes, PhD, LMHC, CRC, NCC
Director of Outpatient Services
Foundations Nashville

Dr. Dawn-Elise Snipes worked in community mental health since 1991, has her PhD in counseling and education, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and Nationally Certified Counselor. 

She started as a line clinician in a drug-court substance abuse treatment program, and worked her way up to a senior program director over dual-disorders multi-level treatment facilities in three counties.  During her time in community behavioral health, Dr. Snipes saw her clinics through JCAHO and CARF accreditation surveys, wrote more than two million dollars in state and federal grants, and served as the lead trainer for the thirteen county dual-disorders program. 

In addition, Dr. Snipes has developed and taught online and face-to-face courses for the University of Florida, and recently completed her first book publication—Multidimensional Brief Solution Focused Counseling with Co-Occurring Disorders (Recovery Toolbox Publishing in press).  Currently she is the director for the Nashville Intensive Outpatient Program for Foundations Recovery Network.

Douglas J. Edwards is Publisher of Addiction Professional, having formerly served as editor in chief of Behavioral Healthcare and Addiction Professional.  Edwards has been serving the addiction treatment community since 2000 in multiple editorial and marketing roles.  Edwards will serve as moderator of the discussion.
