Spectrum Health Systems, a Worcester, Mass.-based substance abuse and mental health treatment provider that for more than 20 years has operated specialized services for offenders, has named Bret Youngblood director of correctional operations.

Youngblood's duties will include development of performance matrices and provision of staff training and professional development, as well as ensuring that Spectrum's criminal justice services conform to the organization's overall clinical design.

Youngblood has more then 20 years of experience in correctional program design and implementation, having worked in correctional systems in Colorado, Texas, Virginia and Washington. In addition, “Bret's trainings consistently receive accolades from correctional systems across the United States,” Spectrum senior vice president of correctional services Christopher Petrozzi said in a Dec. 15 news release. “His unique skill set offers yet another value-add to our existing correctional customers and those who may be interested in capitalizing on specialized training alone.”
