Amsterdam, N.Y. — Saint Jude Retreats has earned an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau of Upstate New York. The designation is the highest available and is given to businesses that follow a high set of standards in how they treat the public and consumers.

The non-profit organization has been helping people struggling with alcohol and drug problems since its inception in 1992. As an alternative to drug and alcohol treatment centers, Saint Jude Retreats is a long-time member of the Better Business Bureau through its parent company, Baldwin Research.

"When people are investing the amount of money involved in a program like this, it gives them security knowing that the Better Business Bureau thinks it is reputable," said Daniel Hidalgo, senior marketing director of Saint Jude Retreats. "We have always had a good relationship with the Better Business Bureau."

The facility staff has been positively involved in the community as a neighbor and a business since Saint Jude Retreats opened more than 20 years ago in Upstate New York.

"We care for people and we want to help them overcome substance use without telling them how to live their lives," said Hidalgo. "They need to have confidence in us and know that we are a reputable business before they ever step foot in our facilities."
