Materials for the Partners for Recovery initiative, an effort from the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) that is phasing out, will continue to be available on the website of the Legal Action Center, which wrote many of the initiative’s materials.

Among the purposes of Partners for Recovery has been to facilitate development of systems of care for addiction services, to help stakeholders combat addiction-related stigma in society, and to develop approaches to strengthen the substance use treatment workforce. Abt Associates managed the initiative, with the Legal Action Center serving as a partner.

According to the Legal Action Center, the available materials from the initiative include “Know Your Rights” documents and presentations to help individuals in recovery to understand their legal rights, as well as materials on privacy/confidentiality issues.

These and other documents are available from the Legal Action Center by clicking here.
