Local and national experts to discuss addiction treatment in Austin

A national panel series on improving addiction treatment is coming to Austin on August 6. The event is being organized by Addiction Professional magazine and will feature experts from Austin and across Texas, who will discuss challenges facing the local and national treatment system and how members of the professional and general community can better work together to improve outcomes for people struggling with addiction disorders.

Panelists will discuss building an addiction treatment and recovery system in which care is better organized to improve clients' long-term success. Addiction Professional has conducted this event in several cities, including Dallas, Denver, Salt Lake City, Charlotte, Nashville, and Anaheim, this year.

The Austin event will be from 11 am to 1 pm CST on August 6 at Maggiano's Little Italy in Austin. The event is supported by the Austin Recovery Oriented Systems of Care Initiative, SoberAustin.com, Dominion Diagnostics, The Right Step/Spirit Lodge, La Hacienda, Benchmark Recovery Center, and Beacon House.
