Center City, MN — Hazelden announces a new iPhone application that will connect more people with the powerful recovery wisdom found in Twenty-Four Hours a Day, one of Hazelden's best-selling daily meditation books. The application, named 24 Hours, is available from iTunes, functions on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and features the complete collection of thoughts, meditations, and prayers from the popular book.

"We chose to make this book available as an iPhone application because Twenty-Four Hours a Day is a mainstay for millions of people around the world in recovery from addiction to alcohol and other drugs," said Nick Motu, publisher, at Hazelden. "As our customers continue to increase their use of electronic products and services, we are adapting our offerings to meet their needs."

Special features of the 24 Hours application include:

• Immediate access to the day's message by pressing the "today" button
• Shaking the device to receive a random daily message
• Sharing the daily message with a friend through automated email integration
• Searching recovery books and other resources by linking directly to Hazelden's online bookstore

Currently under development and available soon are similar electronic applications for additional Hazelden books, including Each Day a New Beginning, A Day at a Time, Food for Thought, and Touchstones.

"We are excited to extend Hazelden's reach of hope and help in this whole new way," said Motu. "And there's much more to come."
