Darrin Mangiacarne, D.O., most recently the medical director for Virginia Premier Health Plan, has been hired as medical director of the Fairbanks addiction treatment facility in Indianapolis. Mangiacarne's previous addiction-specific experience includes several roles with Pine Grove Behavioral Services in Mississippi.

Mangiacarne's hiring, official as of this week, gives Fairbanks two board-certified addictionologists on its staff. Fairbanks' new president and CEO, Kent Brown, said in a June 23 news release that the hiring of Mangiacarne will allow the center to expand programming.

Mangiacarne's previous roles at Pine Grove included overseeing its Women's Center and Legacy Program, as well as working with the facility's program for impaired health professionals.
