Father Martin's Ashley is accepting nominations through May 15 for its Father Joseph C. Martin Award for Professional Excellence, the Maryland addiction treatment facility's annual tribute to an individual whose work embraces the rich legacy of the late Fr. Martin.

The award, judged by an independent committee of addiction and mental health professionals, honors a professional who embodies the provision of treatment with dignity, respect for the value of 12-Step programs, and a focus on education and treatment to bring about lasting recovery. The 2014 honoree was author, therapist and family systems expert Claudia Black, PhD.

The Father Martin award is formally given at the National Conference on Addiction Disorders (NCAD), an event presented by the publishers of Addiction Professional and to be held this year on Aug. 1-4 in St. Louis.

Those interested in nominating an individual for the award may access the nomination information online or send an e-mail request to marketinginfo@fmashley.com.
