San Diego, Calif. —Essential Learning, a provider of eLearning services to the health and human service industry, has announced a new partnership with
CQL | The Council on Quality and Leadership to provide a comprehensive set of online courses for staff in health and human service organizations providing services to people with disabilities and people in recovery from mental illness and substance use disorder.

"CQL's Personal Outcome Measures is powerful data set for the valid and reliable measurement of individual quality of life. Instead of looking at the quality of how the services are being delivered, the Personal Outcome Measures® approach looks at whether the services and supports are having the desired results or outcomes that matter to the person. We are pleased to be able to share the Personal Outcome Measures® through eLearning," said James F. Gardner, PhD, CQL CEO and President.

The series of eight eLearning courses lays the foundation for a deeper understanding of the personal outcomes approach, identifies and explains the 21 measures across services settings, and explores the practical use of measuring individual quality of life.

These courses provide an introduction for individuals, organizations and systems that are new to personal outcomes and can be used as an orientation for new staff and a component of staff development. Learners can also come back to these courses for reinforcement and refresher throughout their career.

"We are thrilled to partner with CQL to offer these eight quality courses on personal outcome measures and we look forward to developing more courses in the future," said Sue Erskine, CEO of Essential Learning.
