The Change Companies, the Carson, City, Nev.-based publisher of evidence-based curricula to promote behavioral change, has announced an expansion of the offerings in its Forward Thinking Interactive Journal series, established in collaboration with the state of California’s juvenile justice agency.

The two new interactive journals in the series are “Substance Using Behaviors,” designed to assist young offenders in understanding the link between substance use and the ability to make sound decisions, and “Family,” helping youths to identify generational patterns that have influenced them and to build a plan for forming positive relationships going forward.

The Change Companies’ research-based interactive journaling allows individuals in a variety of settings and service programs to identify strengths, search out motivations to make change in their lives, and map out a course that can lead to enduring change. Addiction treatment and criminal justice agencies are among the most prominent users of these tools in their programs with clients.
