Dallas — Burning Tree, a long-term drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility specializing in chronic relapse, has launched a new fan page on Facebook to reach more families and individuals stricken by addiction.

The new page provides an overview of Burning Tree’s relapse prevention and dual diagnosis programs for persons with co-occurring disorders involving substance abuse and mental illness. Facility photos, a link to the Burning Tree website and the toll-free phone number to reach admissions representatives are also available on the new fan page.

Enhancing its presence on the world’s largest social networking site will allow Burning Tree to expand the introduction of its programs and residential setting as an effective means to reach and maintain sobriety when other resources, such as short-term treatment and 12 Step programs, have not sufficiently helped.

Visitors to the page can also choose to receive updates via SMS (ie., text messages) when new content is posted on the fan page. In addition, addiction specialists, mental health professionals and substance abuse bloggers can receive updates via RSS feeds for use on professional websites and blog pages.

A video explaining how long-term rehab increases the chances of success is part of the welcome message on the new page. Fans can also interact with the page by posting comments and questions, or participating in discussions related to Burning Tree’s programs specifically or the field of substance abuse treatment in general. The “Share” feature of the site gives fans the opportunity to easily refer others to the page.

Burning Tree operates two long-term drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities in Texas. Addiction specialists at residential facilities outside of Dallas and Austin treat individuals from all 50 states.
