Bayside Marin, an addiction treatment facility serving Northern California, has announced the appointment of Joe Tinervin, MSW, to Executive Director. In this position, Tinervin is responsible for the facility's operational management and success.

Tinervin has been working in the behavioral health care industry for 15 years and has developed an immense passion for the field. He began his career as a direct care staff and continued his education to obtain a Masters in Social Work from Loyola University, Chicago.

His vast clinical background includes outpatient individual and family therapy, crisis intervention for the Chicago Public School District and Chicago Police Department, and acute care and residential mental health and addictions treatment with pediatrics, adolescents and adults.

"Joe is a great addition to the team and we are excited to welcome him to Bayside Marin," said John Peloquin, Vice President, Western Region, for CRC Health Group, parent company of Bayside Marin. "Joe's clinical expertise and business acumen is a fantastic match with Bayside Marin's commitment to excellence and treatment standards."

Tinervin has served as the CEO/Executive Director of four residential treatment facilities: a 58-bed residential treatment center in Indiana; an 85-bed residential treatment center in Ohio; a 32-bed residential treatment facility in Hawaii; and, most recently, a 145-bed residential treatment facility in Tennessee where he increased admissions by 20 percent.

"I am very proud and excited to be joining Bayside Marin as the Executive Director," says Tinervin. "Having grown up in the Bay Area, it is great to be back in Marin County, working in a beautiful atmosphere that is so conducive towards health and recovery."

Regarding his commitment to exceptional clinical care, Tinervin says, "I had a goal to never lose sight of my clinical roots and have tried to incorporate that aspect of my background into my leadership style."

Tinervin recognizes Bayside Marin's uniqueness and outstanding reputation, saying "Bayside Marin utilizes evidence-based best practices to meet each person's individual needs with a unique and personalized program. The excellent team of treatment professionals knows how to promote lasting sobriety with a compassionate approach. They are engaging, motivated, empathic and passionate in helping people find health, hope and healing in recovery."
