The National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP) has extended to Oct. 15 its deadline for submission of proposed presentations for its 2015 Leadership Conference, to be held May 16-18 in Carlsbad, Calif. Presentation topics that are being sought for the conference, titled Spirituality and Medicine in the New Healthcare Environment, include leadership in the industry; spirituality; medication-assisted treatment; the 12-Step treatment model; and healthcare reform (parity and the Affordable Care Act).

NAATP recently informed interested parties that initial response to its call for papers was so intense in recent weeks that some individuals received a bounce-back from the e-mail address to which proposals were sent. That address, nkasper@naatp.org, is now active again.

Paper submissions should include the presentation title; learning topics; take-aways/attainables for attendees; biography of all speakers, with photos if available; and name, position, and organization name for all speakers for inclusion in the conference program.
