Addiction professionals gathered together in Charlotte, N.C., for a panel discussion hosted by Addiction Professional on June 4 to discuss building a recovery-oriented system of care (ROSC). The event was held at the McLeod Addictive Disease Center and featured several panelists who provided their insights on ROSC. One panelist was Beth Fisher, LCSW, LCAS, MAC, CCS, executive director of the National Association of Recovery Residences (NARR) and president of Hope Homes, Inc.

During the discussion, Fisher emphasized that providers must be willing to shed their own stigma and be visible members of the greater community in order for a ROSC to develop. Listen to the podcast below to hear her comments.
