In your November 2007 Letter From the Editor, you asked about the use of music in treatment processes, which is something Exponents has been doing for years. We begin all of our groups with a few minutes of dancing—what we call “energetics—to help participants shake off stress and tensions they might be experiencing. We then sit for a few minutes listening to soft or meditative music before we begin our group process. We also end our groups in meditation, with music.
